Party boats, taxis and trains

After the first shift (the private view) in the Jeremy Deller show, we got invited by the man himself to attend the afterparty, on a boat on the Thames. So we raced there by taxi and were very pleased to find it was a free bar, although I barely had time for a drink as I had a train to catch...or not!! :/ I left the other volunteers at the party and raced to the tube, but it wasn't the station I thought it was so I had to go 2 stops then change to the northern line where I was back on track to get to Euston...I ran so fast from the tube and missed the train by approximately 30 seconds...gutted!! After an emotional conversation with the virgin trains man and a declined card he let me on to the next train, thank you virgin trains man!! Then called the sister to see if she could pick me up an hour and a half later?! :/ More emotion, over tired I think!!
The moral of this story is not to choose a party over getting home unless you're sure you have a back up plan!!
